Goodrich Hall was built in 1857 as a College dormitory. The building was built with Milwaukee cream brick, is 8,000 square feet and has 4 floors. It was first occupied by both girls and boys but that arrangement only lasted 5 years at which time a separate building was built for the boys.

The College officially closed in 1982. The buildings were then sold off to settle debt . We are the third lucky family to own the Hall. We have created a very unique apartment on the upper floor that we call home. The middle two floors house my Antique mall and the walk out basement is storage and work area.  We are in the heart of the Historic District in the middle of town but it is very quiet and serene . Two other buildings sit up on the hill with us that were also part of the College. The Main Hall next door is  the home of the Milton College Preservation Society. It holds memorabilia from the college, archives, and college merchandise.  The top floor is a chapel that has hosted many small weddings.  The third building is Whitford Hall, it was the science and chemistry lab and is now on the real estate market.
